Welcome!

About Us

Here, you’ll find a haven of peace and renewal—a space designed to inspire, uplift, and draw you closer to God. Whether you’re seeking guidance, encouragement, or simply a quiet moment of reflection, our mission is to create an atmosphere of welcome where your spirit can rest, and your Christian faith can grow.

Our philosophy is that a fresh (and safe) environment, some food, a few good nights of sleep and someone to listen to you can go a very long way in healing a weary soul… but we understand that everyone is different and may have special requirements.  To this end we offer:

  • Three independent units which can be hired separately or combined to accommodate a maximum of 12 guests in double or twin bedded rooms.
  • We are happy to provide bespoke arrangements with flexible catering, as required.
  • We can offer a friendly listening ear for individual spiritual guidance and are happy to walk alongside you while you pray through issues.
  • We can come alongside your group leaders or  assist with talks and running of group workshops.

Please phone us to discuss your exact requirements so we can do our best to meet the needs of each individual group in terms of accommodation, catering and assistance with leading a group or themed retreat.

We hope that while you are staying here you will have a chance to relax in our tranquil garden, enjoy a stroll by the Devon River, or wander in the nearby woodland.  You can observe rural life amongst the nearby crops and fields of livestock.  Our garden is visited by many birds and red squirrels, deer and other wildlife.  Our prayer is that your break in this lovely place will bring you closer to God and restore your soul before returning to your everyday life.

Our accommodation is varied and spacious.  One ground floor bedroom is completely wheelchair accessible with wet room shower room equipped with grabrails.  The adjoining kitchen/living room area is suitable for wheelchair users with a disabled car space right at the door.

We live on site so can be on hand in minutes to handle any issues you may encounter during your stay.  Having been in the hospitality business since February 2019, we are experienced hosts used to providing comfortable self catered accommodation.  Jerome, currently a Minister with the United Free Church of Scotland, has been in Christian ministry for 40 years and ordained since 2000 so has led many group discussions, workshops and other programmes and Tracey has worked alongside him during this time.

What is a retreat?

A retreat is a dedicated time away from the distractions and busyness of daily life to focus on rest, reflection, and renewal. It is an intentional step to reconnect with God, oneself, and, in some cases, a supportive community. Retreats provide an opportunity to pause, seek clarity, and deepen one’s spiritual journey in a tranquil and nurturing environment.
